WHY DOES GOD DELAY?

2. To Purify Our Desires

Sometimes we want things that are not yet aligned with God’s will. During the waiting, God refines our intentions. He removes pride, self-focus, hidden fears, or wrong motives.

3. To Prepare Us for the Blessing

Some blessings are powerful and require preparation. God may be building character, healing wounds, or preparing circumstances so that when the blessing comes, you can handle it without being destroyed by it.

4. To Deepen Our Relationship with Him

Persistent prayer creates intimacy.

It teaches us to seek God Himself—not just His gifts.

God uses waiting seasons to draw us closer, not push us away.

God cares more about shaping your heart than giving you a quick answer.

YOU ARE NOT PRAYING ALONE

Every time you pray persistently, you join a long line of biblical heroes and saints who refused to stop:

• The Blind Man Who Cried Out to Jesus

People tried to silence him, but he shouted even louder:

“Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Jesus stopped and healed him because he refused to give up.

• The Canaanite Woman

Despite silence and discouragement, she kept asking Jesus to heal her daughter. Her persistence was rewarded with a miracle.

• Hannah

Year after year, she returned to the temple, praying for a child while others mocked her. God heard her persistence and gave her Samuel.

• Jesus Himself

Before choosing the apostles, He prayed all night. Even the Son of God practiced persistent prayer.

The saints did not give up in prayer.

Why should you?

GOD HEARS YOU—EVEN IN THE SILENCE

Silence is one of God’s most misunderstood responses.

But silence does not mean God is absent.

Silence does not mean God is ignoring you.

Silence often means God is working in ways you cannot yet see.

Delay Is Not Denial

Sometimes God’s answer is “not yet.”

Not because He refuses your prayer, but because He is:

arranging circumstances

preparing hearts

protecting you

or preparing something far better

Your persistence is never wasted.

Your prayers are never ignored.

Your faith is never unseen.

When God’s answer comes, it often arrives with clarity, peace, and power—far better than anything you expected.

KEEP KNOCKING, KEEP TRUSTING

Jesus ends the Gospel with a striking question:

“When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

He is asking:

Will He find believers who still pray even when they don’t see instant results?

Will He find Christians who trust Him even in silence?

Will He find disciples who keep knocking until Heaven opens?

Real faith is not based on quick answers.

Real faith is built on trust—especially when the answer delays.

Your persistence proves your faith.

And your faith proves that God is walking with you, even when you cannot feel Him.

So today:

Keep praying.

Keep knocking.

Keep trusting.
