Run To God
Do not let your failures push you away from the loving arms of the Father. Every time we stumble, instead of hiding or giving in to despair, run all the more into His mercy. Sin may make us feel distant, but it can never stop God from calling us back.
Take a moment to confess quietly:
“Lord, forgive my failings. Forgive me for being short with others, for my impatience, for the times I have hurt or neglected those around me.”
In the stillness, remember this truth: Christ’s love is unfailing, endless, and merciful. Let His love fill you so completely that your heart overflows with forgiveness—for yourself and for others. Each fall is not a defeat but an opportunity to rise again, stronger in faith and closer to God.
St. Augustine often reflected on his own sins, noting: “God loves each sinner more than we can comprehend, and every confession brings us closer to His heart.”
St. Teresa of Avila encouraged souls to return to God promptly after every failing, saying that hesitation or despair only delays the grace God is ready to pour out.
St. Faustina Kowalska reminds us: “Jesus waits for us in the confessional, longing to heal and restore us completely, no matter how often we fall.”
When we embrace God’s mercy:
1. We stop hiding from Him. Falling is not a reason to stay away; it is an invitation to return.
2. We forgive ourselves. If God forgives, we must also release guilt and shame.
3. We grow in faith and humility. Each stumble becomes a stepping stone toward deeper trust in God.
4. We extend grace to others. Knowing how much God forgives us helps us forgive those who wrong us.
Every fall is an opportunity, not a defeat. God’s mercy never runs out, and His love never fails. When we fall, we are called not to despair, but to run to God with confidence, trusting that His arms are always open. In His embrace, we are renewed, strengthened, and prepared to continue walking faithfully.
Heavenly Father,
I thank You for never turning away from me, even when I fail.
Forgive my impatience, my harsh words, and my weaknesses.
Help me to run into Your arms without fear,
to receive Your mercy fully, and to love as You love.
Strengthen me to rise each time I fall,
and teach me to extend Your grace to others.
Amen.
